From August 5 to 7, the Bush Clinicians Group (BCG) hosted an unforgettable gathering in Kajabbi, Mount Isa, bringing together team members, partners, and scientists in a unique environment of connection with land and culture. The BCG Gathering Camping 2025 was more than a retreat, it was three days of training, research, knowledge exchange, and community building.

The gathering welcomed collaborators from Australia and partners from the United States, who shared experiences on innovation, applied science, and cultural business practices. The workshops were conducted in a collaborative way, blending science, tradition, and business strategy, always with a focus on aligning purpose and impact.

Highlights included:

  • Internal training focused on team alignment, leadership, and BCG’s global growth vision.

  • Applied research on botanicals and sustainable production models.

  • Knowledge exchange with invited scientists presenting recent studies aligned with Indigenous cultural practices.

  • Co-creation sessions with U.S. partners, expanding perspectives on international collaboration and growth.

  • A cultural workshop with Cameroon, who led participants in learning local Aboriginal traditions, from preparing traditional bush bread to crafting and playing the Didgeridoo, a mouth-played instrument used in Aboriginal culture.

Beyond the formal program, the camp created genuine moments of togetherness among participants. Being immersed in the natural beauty of Kajabbi reinforced values of unity, mutual care, and respect for culture. For many, it was also an opportunity to connect more closely with the family of our CEO, Alana Kennedy, strengthening both personal and professional bonds.

“This gathering showed us that we are much more than a business group. We are a community guided by purpose, tradition, and innovation. From here, the next steps of BCG in the global landscape will emerge.”  Alana Kennedy, CEO of BCG

The BCG Gathering Camping 2025 marks an important chapter in the group’s journey, reaffirming our commitment to uniting science, culture, and business in a model that transforms not only markets but also communities.
